3D Printing Filling

The evolution of digital 3D printing technology has allowed Fizik to develop a new saddle that is not constrained by traditional production methods and materials. The Adaptive saddle padding uses Carbon's revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology. Digital Light Synthesis is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital UV light projection, oxygen-permeable optics and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with superior mechanical properties, resolution and surface finish.

Customized partition buffer

Using Carbon technology, biomechanists and engineers have unprecedented possibilities: designing and manufacturing multiple functional zones within a saddle, individually tuning the specific mechanical properties of each zone. Each key functional area has been carefully designed with unique cushioning and mechanical response, gradually and seamlessly connected in the same padding.

Laboratory testing and road validation

Pro cyclists and amateur riders tested the bike in Fizik labs and on the road. At each stage of development, each iteration was carefully tested. Fizik paid special attention to the effects of different bike geometries, riding positions and riding styles on pressure distribution.

From idea to scalable production

This unique combination of process and materials allows Fizik to develop products five times faster, creating and field-testing hundreds of versions. This technology can be applied to large-scale production, completely changing the traditional manufacturing process, speeding up and skipping all intermediate stages.

Long-lasting performance

This saddle is very easy to clean. Even when you encounter the grimiest mud, just rinse it off with water. Whatever goes in, can get out. We put it through the most rigorous testing, simulating accelerated aging, UV aging and abrasion, and following strict testing protocols.

Versus Evo: Provides targeted pressure relief to soft tissue areas with a degree of flexibility and full channel design.

R3: Composed of a riding-compliant carbon-reinforced nylon shell and Kium hollow rails with a high strength-to-weight ratio.

Intended use: Road racing

Concept: This is a product of the fizik Concepts program, an interdisciplinary collaboration between leading industry experts and academics to conduct research and analysis in technology, design, physiology and bike fitting to find ways to improve cycling performance.
