About Trek maintenance

We offer an industry-leading warranty against defects in materials and workmanship on all original configuration and aftermarket products.
If you have warranty requirements, please contact Trek Hong Kong or our major dealers and provide the invoice for purchasing the product to apply for warranty.

This warranty applies to:

-All 2020 and later models

- Parts and accessories purchased after August 1, 2019 .

A. Lifelong

-The frame, hard front fork, main frame, and full suspension rocker arm are guaranteed to the first-hand buyer for life.

- Bontrager carbon fiber wheelset

B. 2 years

-Parts and accessories

-Rear shock linkage assembly, including bearings, rocker and accompanying hardware adapters and components

- Bontrager alloy wheels

-Latte art, painting and labeling

C. Second-hand users

- After the bicycle/frame is resold, the second-hand user and subsequent owners can still enjoy the warranty for three years from the date of purchase by the first-hand buyer from Trek Hong Kong or its dealers. Original purchase receipt must be provided to claim warranty.

D. Our warranty does not cover:

-Normal wear and tear

-Improper assembly

-Corrosion

-Improper maintenance

-The various parts and components installed are not intended for/applicable to the bicycles or frames or products sold

-Damage or malfunction caused by accident, misuse, abuse or neglect

-Labor costs for parts, replacements or modifications

-Products not manufactured by Trek or specifically designed for use by Trek are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty.

Any modifications to the frame, fork or accessories will completely void this warranty.
This warranty expressly allows Trek Hong Kong to repair or replace defective parts or components at its discretion. This warranty is effective from the original date of purchase.
Unless otherwise provided by law, Trek is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages.
Claims made outside the original country of purchase may incur fees and other restrictions.
Warranty duration and details may vary by country.
The English version of these warranty terms shall prevail.

All other products not expressly included above may be covered by the 2012-2019 Trek Care Limited Warranty.

Trek Care/Bontrager Limited Warranty 2012-2019

Contact Trek Hong Kong or dealer, purchase invoice must be provided for warranty claim.

A. Lifelong

-Lifetime warranty on frame to original owner. Other situations are as follows:

B. 5 years

- Swingarms for all full suspension bikes (except Session, Scratch and Slash swingarms)

C. 3 years

- Aluminum frame and swingarm for Session , Scratch, Slash and Ticket models

Ding, 2 years

-Brake , panniers, computer, fenders, handlebars, locks, air cylinder, rear rack, service bench, fork, seat, seat post, faucet, tools, water bottle cage and wheelset.

- Carbon fiber frame and swingarm for Session and Slash models

-All rear shock linkage components including bearings, rockers and accessories

-All original Bontrager forks, parts (except consumable parts such as tires and tubes)

E. 1 year

-Latte art, painting and labeling

1. This warranty does not cover:

-Normal wear and tear

-Improper assembly

- Improper subsequent maintenance

-The components, parts, or accessories installed are not intended for or are incompatible with the bicycle sold

-Damage or malfunction caused by accident, misuse, abuse or neglect

-Labor charges for parts replacement or modification

- Bicycles used for commercial activities, including bicycles used in rental, demonstration or security fleets

This warranty applies to 2011 model and newer bicycles, and only covers Trek and Bontrager brand products.
Any other original parts shall be warranted by their original manufacturer in accordance with their stated warranty terms. Any products not specifically included above are hereby excluded.

For warranty information on 2010 or older models, you can check the owner's guide, contact us or contact an authorized dealer for warranty terms and information.
This warranty will be completely void if any modifications are made to the frame, fork or parts. This warranty is expressly limited to repair or replacement of defective products, and such repair or replacement shall be the exclusive remedy under this warranty.
This warranty is effective from the date of purchase, applies only to the original retail purchaser, and is not transferable. This warranty applies only to Trek bikes purchased through an authorized dealer or distributor. Trek Bicycle Corporation is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages.
Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. Any claim under this warranty must be made through an authorized dealer or distributor.
Proof of purchase must be provided. The bicycle must be registered with Trek Bicycle Corporation before a warranty claim can be processed.
Claims made outside the country of purchase may be subject to fees and other restrictions. Warranty duration and details vary by frame type and/or country.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary from region to region. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights. The English version of these warranty terms shall prevail.

 

Carbon Care Guarantee

A pair of high-quality carbon fiber wheels can greatly improve your riding performance and experience. We know this is a significant investment, so we offer every first-hand buyer of Bontrager carbon wheels an industry-leading warranty so you can feel confident when purchasing our wheels.

A. Lifetime warranty
All first-hand buyers of Bontrager carbon fiber wheels are protected by a lifetime warranty against defects in original factory workmanship.

B. The first 2 years
Every pair of Bontrager carbon fiber wheels is protected by the Carbon Care Wheel Loyalty Program, so if you encounter wheel damage within the first two years (regardless of the reason), we will help you repair or replace it for free as appropriate.

C. After 2 years
As long as you are the first-hand buyer of Bontrager carbon fiber wheels, if unfortunately your Bontrager carbon fiber wheels are damaged after the second year, we will provide you with a significant discount.

Repairs and replacements under the Carbon Care Wheel Loyalty Program must be performed by an authorized Trek retailer. Repair prices and free replacements do not include shipping to and from Bontrager Wheel Service Center. Please contact Trek Hong Kong.
