騎TERN漫遊粉嶺白茅浪海

Ride TERN to roam the waves of Fanling Baimao Beach

Ride a Tern Eclipse D16 into Ping Yeung Estate in Fanling to enjoy the view of the White Mao sea.

The fluttering white grass and rolling waves of Ping Yeung Village in Fanling are as beautiful as a dream and like June snow swaying in the wind. This time, the editor specially rode a bright dark green TERN bicycle to match the scene and act like a young man. Take a romantic tour of Fanling with two wheels, easily ride from the simple ancient village of Lung Yeuk Tau to Ping Che Mural Village , and then ride to Ping Yeung Village to enjoy the spectacular summer white grassland.

Cycling on the country roads, this time I chose to ride the American Tern Eclipse D16 folding bike. It has 26- inch tires. It has a comfortable and stable ride. It also has Tern’s patented N- shaped folding method. It takes 10 seconds to fold and push the bike. Take the MTR to Sheung Shui. It's very convenient to get in and out of the station. My favorite is the bright dark green body, which adds a bookish touch when driving.

First stop: Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail

Starting from Sheung Shui, ride the cycling track for about 30 minutes to the first stop, Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail in Fanling, where you visit the ancient village of Kung Lung Wai. Jinlongwei, also known as Xinwei, is one of the five sieges of the Deng clan. The Tang clan moved to the current site of Fanling in the 14th century. The wall was built in 1744 and is made of green bricks. On the gatehouse at the entrance of the village, the stone forehead is engraved with the words "The King of Dragons, Emperor Qianlong, Jiazi, Lucky Month, and the Year of the Valley" is engraved on the stone forehead. The decoration on the main ridge is unique and distinctive. Of course, the editor would not miss checking in with Tern.

Walking on country roads, riding Tern Eclipse is very comfortable and stable, and the color is bright.

The first stop was Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail in Fanling, where we visited the ancient village of Kung Lung Wai.

Second stop: Ping Che Mural Village

Leave San Wai, pass the Sha Tau Kok Highway Cycling Trail, and then turn into Kau Kee Shiduo on Ping Che Road to arrive at Ping Che Mural Village; be careful of vehicles while riding on Ping Che Road. Tracing back to its origins, the village was facing demolition, and the Northeast New Territories Residents Concern Group decided to paint colorful patterns in the village, using the murals to attract public attention to the conditions of the villages in Ping Che. Under the epidemic, if tourists visit Ping Che Mural Village to check in, they must wear masks and speak softly so as not to disturb the peaceful life of the villagers.

The second stop is Ping Che Mural Village.

When visiting Ping Che Mural Village, be sure to speak softly and do not disturb the villagers.

The third stop is Pingyang Village Baimao Grassland

Remember to replenish water while riding a bicycle on the village road. At the entrance of Mural Village, Zhuorongji Shiduo visited the home-made herbal tea to cool down and drink. You can also pay with Octopus, which is convenient for cyclists. There is a sign outside Shiduomen depicting the route to scenic spots in the village. The boss lady specially reminded the editor that you should remember to turn left along Dazhi Road to the grassland, and do not turn right to the miscanthus field, and the miscanthus can only be viewed in November .

Thatch and Miscanthus are very different. Riders, be careful not to ride in the wrong direction. The editor followed the instructions and rode for about ten minutes to the Pingyang Village Archway, which is filled with hundreds of years of history. A burst of rain suddenly dropped to cool down the temperature, and it was rare to take a photo of the sky mirror of the Pingyang Village archway.

There is a sign at the entrance of Zhuorongji Shiduo which lists the routes to various scenic spots in the village.

Ride happily with puncture-proof tires

Pass through the archway and the parking lot before arriving at the Baimao Grassland. The Eclipse is very suitable for such rural roads. Its SCHWALBE Spicer tires are not only easy to roll; the anti-puncture technology prevents the riding gravel from being punctured, and the thicker size reduces the risk of falling into gaps. The bike is equipped with 16- speed and hydraulic disc brakes, which are enough to cope with different conditions and slopes, making the ride fun and enjoyable.

Pingyang Village has hundreds of years of history.

The snow falls in June and the white grass flutters

When we came to the edge of the field, what we saw before our eyes was that the white thatch was in full bloom all over the mountain forest, and the wind swayed it into snow in June. The scene was shocking and spectacular. It’s better to see up close than to see from a distance, so I just push the bicycle wheel on Tianji Road. Surrounded by white thatch grass, it is like a fairyland with the gentle breeze intoxicating the visitors; coupled with the bright Eclipse check-in, it becomes the focus of the audience. However, everyone remember to spray mosquito repellent water to prevent mosquito bites.

The white thatch is in full bloom all over the mountain forest, and the wind sways it into snow in June, attracting many beautiful girls to come and check in.

The bright Tern Eclipse paired with white thatch becomes the center of attention.

The sudden rain formed puddles, creating this mirror in the sky above the archway of Pingyang Village.
