Located between the helmet body and the bracket. It allows approximately 15 millimeters of movement, dampening harsh rotational movements to the brain in the event of an impact.

The thickness of the padding is also just right to ensure comfort, and it absorbs sweat very well.

This is what Bell calls Ionic+, and it uses silver in the yarn, which has antibacterial properties.

From a quality and finishing standpoint, it's great to see Bell covering the hard exterior entirely in polystyrene.
